Is something wrong with my PS3?

While I'm playing: Fallout New Vegas It Just freezes in mass fights.
Example: Hoover dam battle between NCR and Legion.
Is my PS3 Broken or something?

iTech it couldn't be because I press the PS button on the controller and nothing happens, and JoKeR it's a slim

can it be that your broadband can't handle the game during massive esplosion and effects?

Hmm im not sure but i know that the PS3 Slim has a weaker graphics card and less ram, so maybe during the explosions and other fancy effects the PS3 just froze
